MacOS Network Quality Tool

With the release of MacOS 12 - Monterey. Apple has included a network monitoring tool..

The tool is baked in to Terminal, which is great to see Apple is still continuing to develop for the old command line and keep geeks happy.

Launch terminal either by pressing the icon in your dock or from spotlight (cmd + space) then type “Terminal”

Once you  a new terminal window just type the following command  “network quality -sv'“

At first you’ll see a download and upload speed test being conducted then a more in-depth result.

Really simple and quick to do. If you’re suffering from internet or network issues using the built in tool is a lot simpler than having to fire up a website to try and conduct a speed test.
