Tabby

Terminal emulators are nothing new, MacOS, Linux and Windows have one built in as standard, what we think of the ‘terminal’ and what a terminal actually is are two very different things!

The standard of pre-installed emulators are very good, do the job but as we all slowly move further and further away from the early days of computing and terminal systems, we desire a more windows or modern experience.

Tabby is a fully customisable terminal emulator, to the point you’re able to have tabbed sessions in one window, or multiple panels and instances in a single window.

My instance of Tabby, uses a custom appearance with JetBrains mono as the font of choice. Fish and Neofetch are installed and ready to run.

Tabby also allows you to run terminal windows in a split format
