Duet Display

Ex-Apple Engineers turn your iPad into an extra display

Working on the road is difficult, especially if you’re used to multiple screens and big desks, I love to use two screens when I’m working in Photoshop or doing any web coding as it gives me space for tools and apps on one and the content creation on another.

Now I’m lucky to have both a MacBook and an iPad Pro, which allows the use of duet display. What duet does is turn the iPad via the lightning cable into a second display, which then allows you to mimic the desk environment on location or at the coffee shop, giving space to work and complete your tasks.

With the addition of the One Ten Design Mountie, the two screens are next to each other and give a seamless transition between the two displays. The True Tone Retina display on the 9.7 iPad Pro works perfectly with Duet Display, there is no lag between the iPad screen via lightning cable to the programs.

The use of the virtual Touch Bar speeds up the process, and being able to use the pencil in Photoshop & Lightroom really gels the units.
