ALT+TAB

For the day job, until The Apple Geek becomes a paid gig instead of memory dump and passion project - I work in IT in a very Windows oriented environment.

Pressing ALT + TAB on a windows PC brings up a preview of programs open, instead of just the program icon when pressing - ‘cmd +TAB’ on a Mac.

If you have multiple application windows open of the same program (excel sheets / word / chrome) on Windows you can quickly get to the one you want, multitasking and switching seamlessly.

On a Mac you can press F3 (Touch Bar machines struggle) but lwouis over on GitHub has fixed the problem with his lightweight ALT+TAB application, which sits in the menu bar.

The application can be installed directly or installed via home-brew.

Support for MacOS from 10.12 to 12 (Monterey) and Apple silicon is supported too.
